How to apply css codes for a template ?

Question by Tswi: How to apply css codes for a template ?
At this website http://www.free-css-templates.com/ I downloaded zipfiles for a free template, unzipped them but can't find out how to apply them to get a website. Pasted codes in a texteditor but see codes only, not a template. Any hints will be very welcome !
